Community groups invited to Volunteer Fair

Community and voluntary organisations across the Royal Borough are invited to attend a Volunteer Fair during Volunteers’ Week, offering a valuable opportunity to connect with residents interested in giving their time. Taking place on Tuesday 2 June at 10am at Maidenhead Library, the event will bring together more than 20 local groups and is designed to help organisations strengthen their volunteer base while raising awareness of their work.

As well as meeting potential volunteers, the fair will enable groups to network with other organisations, explore partnerships and showcase the services they provide to support local communities.

Improvements to Stafferton Way car park

We're making improvements to Stafferton Way car park, including significant upgrades to its lighting and CCTV. To facilitate this, the car park will be temporarily closed, reopening in early Autumn 2026.

Travelling into Maidenhead? There are alternative car parks nearby, as well as bus and train links into the town centre.

Help support tennis in the Royal Borough

Calling all tennis fans – we’re on the look out for volunteers to help grow the sport in the Royal Borough and help run park tennis sessions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help support the sport in Maidenhead and Windsor.

Enriching new short breaks club

The Royal Borough and Achieving for Children are partnering with Sportworks to host a new short break club designed to provide enriching, safe, and fun-filled experiences for children and young people with mild to moderate special educational needs and disabilities.

The scheme is open to children and young people in the borough who are aged 8 to 17 and have mild to moderate SEND needs. Families currently receiving a package of support from the Children and Young People Disability Service are not eligible.
