Come along to our Preloved to Reloved event

On Saturday 14 March from 10am to 2pm we'll be hosting our first ever Preloved to Reloved event - where you can easily donate any unwanted, good quality household items for free. Our team will be at the Pirate Park, Clewer Memorial Recreation Ground, Dedworth Road where you can drop off household items such as:

  • Tables and chairs.
  • Cabinets and chests of drawers.
  • Working electricals including TVs and white goods.
  • Upholstered items, which must have the correct fire safety label.

In partnership with Serco, this event will support Thames Hospice, helping to fund vital local care.

Improvement works begin at Windsor Guildhall Museum

The Windsor Guildhall Museum has temporarily closed to improve the visitor experience to this Grade I listed building. New objects will be displayed in the gallery and the buildings royal and local significance will be shared with more residents and visitors.

The works are part of an ongoing project to update the Guildhall Museum and is funded by a recent £65K grant awarded by Arts Council England. The museum is expected to reopen in Spring 2026.

Got an innovative idea?

Eight more groups in the borough are being given funding to run schemes that promote community wellbeing, reduce inequalities and help residents access services.

The latest awardees include exercise classes and sports, peer support, crafts, events, community events, digital inclusion workshops and play for children.

The Innovation Fund is managed by the council and NHS Frimley in which groups can apply for up to £5,000 to help launch or expand their ideas. The next round of funding applications opens in April.

Royal Borough strengthens its commitments to Children in Care services

The Royal Borough has launched its Corporate Parenting Strategy 2026-28. When young people come into care, the council becomes their ‘corporate parent’. This duty extends to Care Leavers until they reach the age of 25.

The strategy provides a roadmap for the council and partner agencies to make sure every child and young person who is or has been in care in the borough is cared for and reaches their full potential.
