Creating a healthier Royal Borough

The Royal Borough’s ambitious new ten-year strategy aims to help residents stay healthier, happier and more independent.

The Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy is a shared commitment between the council, NHS partners, as well as voluntary and community organisations to improve all residents’ health and support the most vulnerable that need extra help.

It extends beyond healthier behaviours to also influences planning, housing, transport and employment and is available to read and download on the public health section of the council’s website.

Last chance to take part in our draft budget consultation

Thank you to everyone who's taken part in our draft budget consultation so far. If you haven’t had the chance yet then, you have until midnight this Sunday (1 February) to share your feedback.

This year's draft budget aims to balance savings with investments in key areas.

Health roadshow visits in Maidenhead

Discover why stopping smoking makes you happier at SE Smokefree Alliance’s fun roadshow, near Nicholson’s Shopping Centre’s main entrance. With the right help, you’re far more likely to quit for good.

Borough residents get 12 weeks of free support - click below for more information. You can also get a free blood pressure test at the roadshow.

While in town, you can also pop into the Focus Room at Maidenhead Library for a free liver health scan and find out about a free healthier living course.
