Garden in Bloom winners announced

Ahead of the clocks going back this weekend, we wanted to share a highlight from the summer - Garden in Bloom! This Summer, residents across the royal borough showcased their green fingers as part of the annual competition.

Over 300 gardens were nominated this year, with winners and runners-up judged by ward. Our talented winners were awarded a rosette and a voucher.

How can we build a healthier borough? Have your say on our 10-year strategy

We want to help make everyone healthier in the Royal Borough as well as support those communities needing extra help. We’re putting the finishing touches to our draft Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy, a road map setting out how we can do this working with the NHS and community organisations.

We welcome your thoughts about our planning via a short online consultation which runs until Sunday 7 December. Your feedback on the direction and main themes of our plans will help us finalise our strategy before it comes into force early next year. There are also copies of the draft strategy in borough libraries with staff on hand if you need help completing the consultation.

Improvements to be implemented in Sunninghill

Following a consultation earlier this year, improvements will be made to parking restrictions in Sunninghill over next week, beginning Monday 27 October.

The consultation found overwhelming support from residents for the proposed changes which includes changes to parking restrictions, car parks and a creation of a no-entry road.

Share your feedback on new planning guidance

Influence how future developments in the borough look and feel, by giving your views on new planning guidance. We've just launched consultations on two planning documents which provide greater clarity to developments.

The Parking SPD sets out expectations for well-designed, safe and accessible vehicle and cycle parking in new developments.

The Maidenhead Town Centre Shopfront SPD provides best practice guidance to ensure shopfronts are attractive, well-integrated with their surroundings.
