Share your views in our ongoing planning consultations

We're consulting on our National and Local Validation List and Local Enforcement Plan, two key documents designed to provide clarity on planning applications and enforcement.

The National and Local Validation List identifies the documents required at the beginning of the planning process, streamlining the process and providing more clarity. It also provides guidance on various types of planning applications, and the requirements for making a valid application.

The Local Enforcement Plan, sets out how we undertake planning enforcement, ensuring it remains consistent, transparent and proportional. The document outlines all enforcement activities undertaken by the council and reflects our commitment to a firm but fair approach in addressing breaches of planning control.
